When Drawing or painting, I have never had a lack of ideas. All of the imagery in my art comes from my own mind.
To avoid leading the viewer, I don’t speak much about my work. I will say that I enjoy creating atmospheres and subtle stories. I use landscapes, figures, and other imagery to create a sense of atmosphere that alludes to a certain mood or emotion. This ambiguity is intentional; it is up to the viewer to see what the piece means to them personally. My work is open to interpretation and the meaning of each work is intended to differ according to the viewer. This makes the work personal for both the viewer and I.
My work is constantly evolving as I create it. That is my process: I go to my blank canvas and the painting emerges. I never know what story or atmosphere is going to materialize when I begin.
